Anthony Bwalya named Zambia’s deputy envoy to Tanzania

Zambia’s President Hakainde Hichilema has appointed state house spokesperson Anthony Bwalya as deputy high commissioner to Tanzania with immediate effect.

Secretary to the Cabinet Patrick Kangwa confirmed in a statement on Wednesday that President Hichilema has appointed Bwalya as deputy high commissioner to the East African country.

“The appointment of Mr Bwalya is with immediate effect,” Kangwa said.

He has served as presidential spokesperson at the state house since 2021.

The Zambian leader has recognized the former spokesperson’s contribution while serving as spokesperson at State House.

“The President is confident that Mr Bwalya will serve the Government and citizens of Zambia to the best of his ability as he takes his new role in Tanzania,” the President said.
