Lumwana Radiant FC sacks coaches, names Simunyola, Sakafunya as replacements


Lumwana Radiant Football Club (LRFC) has terminated the contracts of Head Coach, Lameck Banda, and first Assistant Coach, Bupe Chewe, as stated in a Friday release.

The decision to relieve them of their duties was made on Thursday.

The club reviewed its recent appointments, naming Sailas Simunyola as the Head Coach and Chiyesu Sakafunya as his Assistant.

The statement mentioned that the duo would oversee the club’s transition until a suitable replacement was found.

The club, however, did not specify the reason for the dismissal.

LRFC expressed gratitude to Banda and Chewe for leading and motivating the team to the 3rd position on the National League table.

The Executive Committee also extended well wishes to both coaches for their future endeavors.
