Lusaka Securities Exchange chief, Sampa, is dead!

Lusaka Securities Exchange Plc (LuSE) Chief Executive Officer, Priscilla Chikuni Sampa, is dead.

Sampa passed away on Tuesday December 18, 2022 after a brief illness.

The LuSE Board and Staff informed the public of the passing of Sampa in a market update issued on LuSE.

“It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that the Lusaka Securities Exchange Plc (LuSE) Board and Staff informs the public of the untimely passing of the LuSE Chief Executive Officer Mrs. Priscilla Chikuni Sampa.

“The LuSE deeply mourns this loss and wishes her family and friends its sincere condolences,” LuSE stated.

Sampa joined the LuSE in 2006 as Legal Counsel and Exchange Secretary, a position in which she served for 11 years until she was appointed as chief executive officer in January 2017.

Her extensive knowledge and understanding of the Capital Markets was an invaluable asset to the Company and the Zambian Capital Market.
