Mwamba said the offer of the Sacko Mine shares to senior UPND officials and the subsequent arrests of five youths that protested against State House interference and exposed the scam.

“There is too much intimidation of whistle blowers being arrested and shows that the government was trying to bury some corrupt activities in their court,” he said in an interview on Friday in Lusaka.

He said the subsequent dismissal of the Permanent Secretary, Nooya Lumamba were all victims of abuse of office and power because of the Corruption at the heart of Sacko Mine and State House.

Mwamba said it did not make sense that innocent people were suffering for the sins that they were trying to expose.

He said there was need for UPND national youth chairperson, Gilbert Liswaniso, and Lusaka province chairperson, Obvious Mwaliteta ,to explain how they became the owners of the mine.
