Police nab 5 suspects over alleged theft of Muvi TV equipments

Five suspects have been arrested for the alleged breaking-in and theft of property at Muvi Television Station.

The Zambia Police Service have also recovered some stolen items among them three television sets, a Point of Sale (POS) machine and a Central Processing Unit, according to deputy police public relations officer Danny Mwale.

Mwale said on Sunday in a statement that five suspects are all detained in Police custody while investigations have intensified.

He said on December 17, 2022 at 08:00 hours, a report was received from Muvi Television Station regarding breaking into a building and committing a felony.

Mwale said studio equipments were stolen at Muvi Television Station and an investigation was immediately instituted.

He stated that the incident is believed to have occurred on December 17, 2022 between 01:00 hours and 05:00 hours.
