RTSA acting Head of Public Relations, Mukela Mangolwa, confirmed the decision in a statement issued in Lusaka on Tuesday.

Mangolwa said fares for Copperbelt local and other towns, Lusaka local and other towns have been reduced by K1, while fares for Inter-Mine-Copperbelt and Lusaka Peri-Urban have been reduced by K2.

He said bus operators are guided to revise the bus fares accordingly and display fare charts in all the buses.

“The reduction in bus fares comes in the wake of the reduction in the fuel pump prices announced by the Energy Regulation Board recently,” Mangolwa said.
