UPND’s Moono warns Tayali to desist from ‘cheap politics’ by dragging security agencies into power games

Ruling United Party for National Development (UPND) lawmaker, Moono Mapani, says Economic and Equity Party (EEP) leader, Chilufya Tayali, should avoid dragging security wings in political stunts.

Tayali recently accused security wings of trying to abduct him and that his security guard was tied after gaining entrance to the yard.

Mapani, the Namwala UPND law maker said it was cheap politicking for Tayali to accuse the defence wing of trying to abduct him to gain political mileage.

“Tayali needs to be dealt with, I want to advise the security wing to deal with this matter because it borders on national security,” he said in an interview on Saturday.

Mapani said the equity party leader had continuously demeaning everyone in the country, hence he shouldn’t go scot free.

“This is an individual who has taken the position of demeaning everyone in this country, this behaviour must stop,” he said.

Mapani said equally, the behaviour of the opposition of issuing empty statement wanting to put the country in danger should be discouraged.

He said the opposition should start taking full ownership of their statements to protect the country from enemies of doom.
