The Lusaka Magistrates’ Court has issued a bench warrant against former Nkana Member of Parliament Binwell Mpundu following his continued failure to appear before court.

Mpundu, an opposition politician facing a charge of sedition, failed to appear before Magistrate Webster Milumbe on Tuesday.

The court ordered that the bench warrant be returnable on November 2, 2026, when his two sureties are also expected to explain his whereabouts.
