Four people have died while three others sustained injuries in a fatal road traffic accident along the Kasama–Mbala Road in Northern Province.

“The accident happened when the Ford Ranger driver attempted to overtake a truck and trailer improperly, resulting in a head-on collision with the oncoming Toyota Spacio,” Munkhondya said.

Munkhondya added that another passenger, Charity Musonda, aged 43, of Nseluka area, died upon arrival at Kasama General Hospital.
