Zambia is expected to host the 75th World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Committee for Africa at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre in Lusaka from August 25 to 27, 2025.

The announcement was made by Ministry of Health Permanent Secretary for Donor Coordination, Dr. George Sinyangwe, during a media briefing in Lusaka on Friday.

Zambia secured the right to host the meeting during the last Regional Committee session held in Brazzaville, Congo.

Sinyangwe said the session, to be held under the theme “Building a Healthier Africa Together”, will bring together health ministers, experts and partners to review and endorse policies aimed at improving health outcomes on the continent.

Notable participants will include WHO Director General, Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, WHO Regional Director for Africa, Dr. Mohamed Yakub Janabi, and Africa CDC Director General, Dr. Jean Kaseya.
