Why Sunzu will be out of AFCON opener against Mali —Coach Sichone

Chipolopolo coach, Moses Sichone, has confirmed that defender Stoppila Sunzu will miss Zambia’s AFCON Group A opening match against Mali after falling ill in Casablanca.

Sichone said Sunzu developed abdominal pains on Sunday and, following assessment by the team’s medical staff, was advised to rest.

As a result, the experienced defender did not take part in training.

The coach disclosed this during a pre-match press conference ahead of the Group A clash, according to the Football Association of Zambia.

Zambia will face Mali on Monday at 16:00 hours.
