Arsenal secured a hard-fought 1–0 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion at the Amex Stadium, with an early goal from Bukayo Saka enough to earn all three points and extend their advantage at the top of the Premier League.

The Gunners arrived on the south coast leading the Premier League table, knowing victory would increase the gap over Manchester City after their rivals dropped points earlier in the day.

According to ESPN, Brighton, meanwhile, entered the match comfortably in mid-table, hoping to frustrate the title contenders in front of their home supporters.

Arsenal made the perfect start and quickly seized control of the match, pressing high and forcing Brighton onto the back foot during the opening stages.

The breakthrough arrived in the 9th minute when Bukayo Saka’s shot deflected and slipped through goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen.

Brighton attempted to respond with quick attacking moves and long spells of possession, but Arsenal remained disciplined defensively and limited the hosts to half-chances before the break.

The second half saw Brighton increase the pressure, pushing higher up the pitch and testing Arsenal’s back line as the visitors focused on protecting their narrow advantage.
Goalkeeper David Raya was forced into several important interventions while Arsenal’s defence, marshalled by Gabriel Magalhães, held firm during sustained Brighton attacks.

Despite Brighton’s late push for an equaliser, Arsenal managed the closing minutes effectively, slowing the tempo and defending resolutely to see out the result.
