President Hakainde Hichilema has urged families to raise children with strong values so they can contribute positively to Zambia’s social and economic development.

Speaking during a Seventh-day Adventist Church gathering attended in his capacity as a church elder on Saturday, President Hichilema said strong families are the foundation of a stable and progressive society.

He encouraged parents to take greater responsibility in guiding children as they grow, while also urging husbands and wives to support one another.

“Husbands and wives, let us take care of our children… so that we can raise good church members, good family members and good citizens of our beloved Zambia,” he said.

The President said raising children properly gives the country a better chance of building responsible citizens who can fulfil their roles in society.
