ABSA opens new facility to offer premium services in Lusaka

ABSA Board Chairperson, Austin Mwape, said on Monday, that the bank’s 2024 performance was driven by strategic focus, operational execution, and continued client support.

“The bank’s performance has gained momentum in recent years, reflecting our ability to respond to market conditions and maintain a resilient business model,” Mwape said.

He added that ABSA’s growth across key segments was a result of customer trust and the institution’s efforts to deliver consistent value in a changing economic landscape.

Mwape spoke at the opening of ABSA bank new facility in Lusaka’s Longacres area, which aims at providing premium banking services to high-net-worth clients.

On the new facility, Mwape said its location within Lusaka’s business and diplomatic district was intended to improve access and privacy for clients seeking personalised financial services.

“This centre was developed to meet specific needs such as time efficiency, confidentiality, and tailored service,” he said.

Retail Banking Director, Naomi Mwenya, highlighted the features of the bank’s Infinity Card, which provides benefits such as retail discounts and access to select international airport lounges.

ABSA Managing Director, Mizinga Melu, said the K11.5 million investment in the new branch was part of the bank’s effort to improve service delivery and enhance accessibility.

“This facility addresses the growing demand for convenience and premium services in a central location,” she said.
