Ecobank extends Sungapo campaign to December 2025, amid strong customer demand

Ecobank Zambia has extended its Sungapo campaign until December 31, 2025, following overwhelming customer demand.

The campaign, which was initially scheduled to end on October 3, has been prolonged to allow more customers to participate, enjoy rewarding benefits, and stand a chance to win exciting prizes.

Launched on September 1, 2025, the Sungapo campaign invites both new and existing customers to deposit a minimum of K40,000 into a Fixed Deposit account for a term of at least four months.

Participants earn an attractive 10 percent interest per annum and are automatically entered into a draw to win K4,000 cashback.

To qualify, customers must open a new Fixed Deposit account—rollovers are not eligible—then scan the official QR code and enter their Fixed Deposit Receipt Number to register for the draw.

Ecobank confirmed that while the campaign has been extended, the first draw will still take place as originally scheduled on October 3, 2025.

Customers who participate before that date will be eligible for this early opportunity to win.

Aina Moore, Managing Director of Ecobank Zambia, expressed her excitement about the campaign, saying, “Sungapo is not just a promotion, it’s a celebration of Ecobank Group’s 40-year milestone as a leading pan-African banking institution.”

She added that the overwhelming response from customers had been “truly heartwarming,” which led the bank to extend the campaign until year-end.

“We want to give even more people the opportunity to earn great returns, win exciting prizes, and celebrate this remarkable milestone with us. This extension is our way of saying thank you for four decades of trust and partnership,” Moore said.

She emphasized that the Sungapo campaign underscores Ecobank’s commitment to financial inclusion, innovation, and customer appreciation.

With a strong presence across Zambia and a pan-African footprint, Ecobank continues to deliver banking solutions that empower individuals and businesses alike.
