Former Kasenengwa Member of Parliament Sensio Banda has urged President Hakainde Hichilema and former President Edgar Lungu to let love and forgiveness lead.

The former lawmaker said on Tuesday in an interview that President Hichilema and Mr Lungu were the precursors to national unity and they should let go of the past for the sake of the country.

Banda said the two should put their personal differences aside for the sake of a common Zambian and development.

“We only have one Zambia, if you have a show down, God forbid, it is only a common Zambian out there that will bear the consequences,” he said.

Banda said the two could have different political view points and ideals which was normal in politics.

“But for the sake of mother Zambia, be magnanimous enough and have a converging point, toward strengthening national interest and unity,”he said.

Banda said the two leaders must drink from the same cup to advance the national interest and development, despite their personal differences.

“This is not too much to ask for, it is not in your special privilege to unity Zambia, but you owe it to mother Zambia, you owe it to us. I hope this little note will reaches my two big brothers and our leaders,” he said.
