Four people have died in a road traffic accident involving three vehicles on the Mpika–Kasama Road in Muchinga Province, police have confirmed.
Muchinga Province Police Commanding Officer, Dennis Moola, said in a statement on Wednesday that the accident occurred on Tuesday around 20:30 hours in Milunga Village, about 34 kilometres west of Mpika town centre.

He said the crash happened when the driver of a Mitsubishi Canter failed to keep to his lane and struck the rear wheels of a second vehicle, which lost control and collided with a third vehicle coming from the opposite direction.
“The driver of the first vehicle and three passengers were pronounced dead at Mpika Urban Clinic,” Moola said.
