Leeds United delivered a magical night under the Elland Road lights, beating third-placed Chelsea 3–1 thanks to goals from Jaka Bijol, Ao Tanaka and Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
In front of a packed 34,000 crowd, Leeds started on the front foot. Early pressure saw Stach twice denied from long throws, before the breakthrough arrived from the resulting corner. Bijol rose highest at the near post and headed past Robert Sánchez for his first Leeds goal.
According to Leedsunited.com, United continued to press, with Pascal Struijk heading narrowly wide and Calvert-Lewin curling an effort past the post. They also showed defensive resolve, with their three centre-backs making crucial interventions to keep Chelsea at bay.
Stach was again involved as Leeds doubled their advantage. Lukas Nmecha won the ball and found Ethan Ampadu, who played in Tanaka. The Japanese midfielder drilled a low strike beyond Sánchez to make it 2–0 at the break.

Chelsea hit back shortly after the restart when Pedro Neto bundled in at the back post from Jamie Gittens’ cross. Nmecha thought he had restored the two-goal cushion, but his finish was ruled out for offside.
The visitors threatened again as Cole Palmer slid a shot just wide, but Leeds responded decisively. Substitute Noah Okafor dispossessed Tosin Adarabioyo in the box and Sánchez could only parry, leaving Calvert-Lewin to tap in and restore the two-goal lead.
Gudmundsson later fired over as Leeds pushed for a fourth, while Enzo Fernández missed a late chance to reduce the deficit.
The final whistle sealed one of Leeds United’s best top-flight displays in recent seasons.
Victory saw the Whites leapfrog West Ham and climb out of the relegation places, while Chelsea suffered a bruising night in West Yorkshire.
