Liverpool struck in dramatic fashion to beat Nottingham Forest 1–0 in a tense Premier League encounter at the City Ground on Sunday, according to The Guardian.
For much of the afternoon, Forest looked the sharper side, pressing high and unsettling Liverpool’s rhythm in front of a lively home crowd.
According to the Guardian, chances fell to the hosts during promising spells, but they were unable to convert their pressure into a goal that would reward their effort.
Liverpool, who struggled to create clear openings, thought they had taken the lead earlier only for the effort to be ruled out after a VAR review.

As the match moved deep into stoppage time, it appeared the points would be shared before a decisive moment changed the outcome.
Midfielder Alexis Mac Allister reacted quickly inside the penalty area to fire home in the 97th minute, sealing a late winner for the visitors.
The goal stunned Forest and lifted Liverpool, who had shown persistence despite an uneven display for large parts of the game.
The result strengthens Liverpool’s position near the top of the table, while Forest are left frustrated after a performance that deserved more but delivered nothing.
