Mpika Town Council loses chairperson

Mpika Town Council Chairperson, Morgan Mwape Musoma, has died in Lusaka at Maina Soko Military Hospital following a brief illness.

The death was confirmed on Wednesday by Mpika Town Council Secretary, Samuel Musenga, who issued a statement expressing deep sorrow.

“It is with deep sorrow that I officially wish to inform you all about the sudden death of our dear Council Chairperson,” Musenga said. He urged council management and staff to remain strong and keep Musoma’s family in their prayers during this difficult time.

Musoma served as Mpika Town Council Chairperson from August 2021, working diligently and passionately for the local community until his passing.

“Burial arrangements will be communicated soon. May his soul rest in peace,” Musenga added.
