The Zambia Police Service has launched an investigation after a newborn male baby was found abandoned in Barlastone Park, Jamaica area in Lusaka on Wednesday.

The baby, who was found unclothed and crying in the rain near the roadside, was assisted by the woman and other community members before the incident was reported to police.
