According to Stanley Kakubo, Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Minister, President Hichilema called on world leaders at the U.S-Africa Leaders Summit in Washington DC, that Africa should be accorded an opportunity to have a permanent seat at the United Nations Security Council.

Kakubo on his Facebook page said the President emphasised on the urgent need for the 1.4 billion Africans to be fully represented where decisions that affect them are made.
