The Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) has launched the Online Inspection of the Provisional Register of Voters as part of its ongoing preparations for this year’s General Election.

In a statement issued on Sunday, Chief Electoral Officer, Brown Kasaro, announced that the online verification exercise will run until March 8, 2026.

Kasaro said the initiative was designed to enhance accessibility and convenience by enabling registered voters to confirm their details remotely.

He urged voters to carefully verify the spelling of their names, polling station information and other registration particulars through the ECZ online portal.

However, Kasaro clarified that any amendments to voter information cannot be made online.

“Corrections will only be processed during the Physical Inspection of the Register of Voters, scheduled to take place from March 2 to March 8, 2026, at polling stations across the country,” he said.

The Commission had called on all registered voters to take part in the inspection process to ensure their details were accurate ahead of the elections.
