Zambian award-winning artiste, Elton Mulenga, popularly known by his stage name Yo Maps, has announced the launch of the Olios Music Festival, a major new annual music event expected to debut in 2026.
The announcement was made through a post on his official Facebook page on Wednesday, where the Try Again hitmaker shared his excitement about the new venture and promised fans a groundbreaking experience that will celebrate music, culture, and community on a grand scale.
“We’re thrilled to kick off an exciting new tradition — the Olios Music Festival is coming back every year,” Yo Maps wrote.
He said: “Starting in 2026, join us annually for unforgettable performances, vibrant vibes, and a celebration of music and community.”
He further encouraged fans to stay tuned for further announcements on the festival’s line-up, dates, venues, ticketing information, and special surprises, stating: “Let’s make this a yearly highlight.”
While full details are yet to be unveiled, the Olios Music Festival is already generating excitement among fans and industry players alike, many of whom see it as a bold step toward positioning Zambia as a regional music and entertainment hub.
The initiative also marks a new chapter in Yo Maps’ growing brand, as he continues to cement his reputation not only as a chart-topping musician but also as a creative entrepreneur shaping the local music industry.
Industry observers are hopeful that the festival would provide a platform for both established and emerging Zambian artistes to showcase their talents alongside regional and international acts, boosting the creative economy and promoting cultural exchange.
If successful, the Olios Music Festival could join the ranks of Africa’s most anticipated annual music events, attracting tourists, investors, and collaborators from across the continent.
