Zambia futsal team stuns South Africa with 10-goal masterclass

The Zambia Futsal National Team delivered a sensational performance against South Africa in an international friendly at a packed Automotive Futsal Arena.

Zambia ran rampant, netting ten goals to claim a resounding victory in the first of a two-match friendly series.

Both teams are using the encounters as preparation for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers scheduled for the first quarter of 2026.

The Zambian side, fresh from their appearance at the 2024 Futsal AFCON and the Thailand Invitational Tournament, showcased their growing dominance on the pitch.

James Mwila led the charge with a hat-trick, while Patrick Banda and captain Chota Chileshe added braces. James Zulu, Musa Chiwaya, and Francis Chinyama contributed the remaining goals, rounding off a remarkable team display.

The two sides will conclude their friendly series on Sunday at 16:00 at the same venue.
