The Zambia Under-15 Boys and Girls national teams have been crowned champions of the CAF African Schools Championship | COSAFA Qualifiers after defeating South Africa in both finals.
In the first final played at Idas Valley Sports Complex in Stellenbosch, South Africa, the Zambia U15 Girls beat the hosts 1–0 to dethrone the defending champions and claim the bragging rights.
A 17th-minute strike from Matildah Hambulo was all Zambia needed to secure the title.
In the Boys’ final, Zambia came from behind to beat South Africa, who were also the defending champions.
South Africa opened the scoring after a mistake by goalkeeper Christopher Wamundila, who parried the ball into the path of Nasri Idris.

Zambia hit back quickly, with Michael Chilinda leveling the score in the 18th minute.
Maxen Msimuko completed the comeback with a 24th-minute winner to seal the championship for Zambia.
The victories mean the Copper Princesses and the Junior Chipolopolo will now represent COSAFA at the CAF Schools Championship at continental level.
Hilda Kangwa was awarded Player of the Tournament in the Under 15 Girls CAF Schools Championship|CAF Qualifiers.
