The Norwegian striker struck twice in the first half, either side of Tyler Adams’ equaliser, before Nico O’Reilly sealed the victory.

Haaland has now scored 13 goals in 10 matches this season, just two short of reaching 100 Premier League goals.

Reported by Sky Sports, Haaland marked his opener with a robotic celebration but was denied a hat-trick after being substituted in the final 10 minutes, leaving his Manchester City tally at 141 goals in 159 appearances.

“There were probably a few Fantasy [Premier League] managers that were not so happy when I got subbed off,” Haaland told Sky Sports.

“I didn’t score in the last game, but I just want to help the team win — whether that’s scoring or working hard. That’s my job.”

City’s fourth win in five league matches moves them six points behind leaders Arsenal, while Bournemouth’s eight-game unbeaten run came to an end as they dropped to fourth.
