Copperbelt Minister, Elisha Matambo, says President Hakainde Hichilema has bought 30,000 tickets for the highly anticipated Kitwe derby involving Nkana Football Club and Power Dynamos.
Matambo said the President, who will attend the encounter at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium on Saturday, is set for a two-day working visit to the Copperbelt Province.
“President Hichilema will be visiting Copperbelt Province for two working days starting from Saturday and will attend a thanksgiving service for the reopening of the Israeli Embassy in Zambia at Living Water Church in Kitwe,” Matambo said during a media briefing in Ndola yesterday.

He added that in the afternoon, the President will be the guest of honour at the local derby between Power Dynamos and Nkana FC at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.
“The President has bought 30,000 tickets for Nkana FC and Power Dynamos supporters and the general public,” Matambo said, adding that the tickets would be distributed via the District Commissioner’s office in Ndola.
He urged members of the public to turn up in large numbers and watch the game with the President.
“On November 9, 2025, which is Sunday, he will attend the Remembrance Day celebrations and a church service at the Evangelical Church in Ndeke Township, Kitwe, followed by a meeting with UPND party structures,” he said.
