The public prosecutor at the criminal court in Casablanca announced that the public prosecution decided, according to the Moroccan law, to release the journalist Ali Lamrabet after reviewing and studying, with complete transparence, various procedural documents, completing the investigation, and conducting the necessary technical expertise.
A statement from the public prosecutor at the criminal court in Casablanca mentioned that following his announcement regarding the circumstances and reasons for the arrest of the individual in question, this latter was presented on Wednesday 15 July 2026, before the public prosecution, where he was interrogated regarding the actions attributed to him, in accordance with the legal provisions, and he was granted all the guarantees and rights provided for by law, including being subjected to a medical examination.
The statement clarified that the public prosecution decided after reviewing and studying various procedural documents, to complete the investigation and conduct the necessary technical expertise, to release the individual in question and to return the seized items that were in his possession, including two laptops, storage key, and a mobile phone.
The same source concluded that appropriate legal consequences will be arranged immediately after the investigation is completed.
