Brian Mundubile of National Reconciliation Party for Unity and Prosperity (NRPUP) and self-acclaimed winner the 2026 generation elections, might be foreseeing a court action and has, therefore, urged his team to stay ahead of the electoral process and ensure that the information to be shared with the Electoral Commission of Zambia was complete and properly documented.
Mundubile said he expected them to have wrapped up the exercise and established a clear picture of results by Saturday.
“If we fail to do so and allow disputed or alleged forged GEN 20s to be introduced into the process, we risk finding ourselves on the back foot,” he said in a Facebook post.
He noted that that could ultimately turn the matter into a court dispute which he said would not be helpful to the country.
Mundubile further urged all candidates and Provincial Coordinators to work together urgently.
“Please ensure that the relevant GEN 20s are collected and submitted so that we can consolidate our information and keep ourselves properly updated.”
On the alleged engagement with the military, he said he was out of danger and urged all Provincial Coordinators to remain focused, organised and vigilant.
“I am sure you might have received some disturbing information last night, all I can say is that we managed to survive the situation,” Mundubile said in a latest statement issued on Saturday.
“I want to use this opportunity to encourage all Provincial Coordinators to remain focused, organised and vigilant,” he added.
He said the immediate task was to ensure that all GEN 20s from respective areas were collected and submitted.
