Tottenham’s dismal home record in 2025 suffered another setback as Aston Villa came from behind to claim a 2-1 victory in north London.
Emiliano Buendia’s curling strike secured the win as Unai Emery’s side moved into the top half of the Premier League table.
In a report by The Independent, Villa had fallen behind within five minutes after Rodrigo Bentancur capitalized on a loose ball in the box, but a stunning finish from Morgan Rogers restored parity before half-time, setting the stage for Buendia’s decisive effort late on.

Spurs have managed just three league wins at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this calendar year, with Thomas Frank yet to reverse a worrying trend that began under predecessor Ange Postecoglou.
The defeat was compounded by the late withdrawal of injured captain Cristian Romero, who was initially named in the starting XI before pulling up during the warm-up.
