Brighton staged a dramatic comeback to defeat Manchester City 2-1 at the Amex Stadium on Sunday, handing Pep Guardiola’s side their second successive loss of the season.
Erling Haaland had given City the lead in the first half, but Brighton dominated after the break, with a quadruple substitution turning the game in their favor.

According to NBC Sports, Veteran James Milner leveled from the penalty spot, before substitute Brajan Gruda struck the winner in the 89th minute to send the home crowd into raptures.
The victory lifts Brighton to four points from their opening three matches, while City remain on three, with Guardiola left facing early questions about his reshaped squad.
After a summer of numerous new signings and departures of experienced players, City’s balance has looked shaky. Just as in their defeat to Tottenham last week, they struggled in midfield and appeared vulnerable in defensive transitions.
Brighton, meanwhile, looked sharper, fitter, and more confident as they overpowered their visitors in the second half.
Guardiola will need to quickly rebuild a solid defensive foundation if City are to rediscover their ruthless winning form.
Brighton next visit Bournemouth on Saturday, September 13, while City face a stern test as they host Manchester United in the Manchester derby on Sunday, September 14.
