Catholic priest Father (Fr) Henry Tyola and United Party for National Development (UPND) official Frank Bwalya have reportedly reconciled following a dispute over alleged defamation and cyber-related abuse.
Last week, Zambia Monitor reported that Bwalya, had threatened legal action against Fr Tyola over the alleged offences during a media briefing in Kitwe.
However, Fr Tyola has announced a reconciliation with Bwalya in a Facebook post, accompanied by a picture captioned: “A new chapter forged – reconciliatory meeting.”

“Peace and Joy to all.
“I am happy to share that a new chapter has been forged following a warm and fraternal reconciliation meeting between Mr Frank Bwalya and myself,” he said.
Fr Tyola described the meeting as more than just an engagement, saying it represented a moment of grace, healing and brotherhood.
He thanked Bwalya for his generosity and forgiveness.
“Natotela sana shifwe (I am thankful a lot our father).
“Special thanks goes to Father Nicholas Mubanga for his wise counsel and true brotherly care,” Tyola said.
He also paid tribute to Ndola Archbishop Benjamin Phiri for his guidance and pastoral care.
