Chile One joins other Zambian artistes, drops latest release on Easter

The Easter holiday has been one of the most competitive weekends for Zambian artistes in recent history.

A day after Yo Maps, Mordecai and Pompi released new content, Chile One “Mr Zambia” has dropped a brand new video, for a song from his January album ‘Boy from Chililand’.

Chile One’s visuals are for his rapper Jae Cash assisted ‘So Chabe’ song.

In just five hours of its release, the music video has already gained over 236 thousand views on YouTube.

These impressive numbers are better performing than the music videos released earlier regarding numbers on YouTube.

By press time, Yo Maps’ ‘Nga Te Ba Yahweh’ had reached 511 thousand views while Mordecaii’s ‘Far Away’ stood at 469 thousand views and Pompi’s ‘Soon and Very Soon’ 28 thousand views.

Fans are clearly enjoying the competitive nature of the releases, especially pitting Chile One Mr Zambia against Yo Maps.

In apparent reference to Yo Maps’ single which dropped earlier, some fans had suggested that the artiste’s song was underwhelming in comparison with Chile One.

“This has healed me from the trauma I wen through yesterday,” read a comment on Chile One’s Facebook post announcing the release of the video.

However, not everyone sang praises, others were harsh with their opinion but there were a few who criticized constructively.

“Next time, find someone to do better visuals for your songs. Otherwise, you are talented,” read another comment on the post.
