The Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC) says it has uncovered an abandoned house and six motor vehicles in Libala Stage 4.
DEC officers are said to have acted on reports from concerned members of the public who alerted the Commission about the suspected abandoned property.
DEC Public Relations Officer, Allan Tamba, confirmed the development in a statement issued in Lusaka on Tuesday.
The abandoned motor vehicles include a white Toyota Land Cruiser, a white Toyota Mark II, a Toyota Corolla, a blue Toyota Corolla, a grey Toyota Axio, and one unregistered Toyota Cresta.
“Arising from reports received from concerned members of the public suggesting that there was an abandoned house with abandoned motor vehicles in Lusaka’s Libala Stage 4 area, yesterday, Monday 16th March 2026, the Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC) undertook a verification exercise aimed at establishing the true ownership of the said properties,” Tamba said.

Other items seized from the premises include 12 new R17 wheels, two laptop bags, one Pentamark generator set, one loudspeaker, one suitcase, and one box containing company documents.
Tamba said the vehicles had since been secured and that the public would be informed once investigations were concluded.
“Citizens are hereby urged to verify facts before attracting media attention as unverified information can potentially cause unnecessary public panic and stress,” he said.
He further clarified circulating claims linking the properties to former Head of State Edgar Lungu, stating that investigations were still ongoing and that no conclusions had been reached.
