Grammy award nominated singer posted a flyer with a caption that read “See you soon, Zambia.”

According to the flyer, the ‘Knock You Down’ artiste would be attending an event dubbed the Ladies Fiesta Festival at the R & G Arena in Lusaka.

It was, however, unclear as to whether the musician would be performing or just making an appearance.

X users have reacted to the announcement.

Zambians in their usual humourous social media rants have questioned why artitses of Hilson’s caliber only come to Zambia when they are past their prime.

One wrote: “@KeriHilson manje ninshi you guys only come here ukapwa?”

Another X subscriber trolled the quality of the flyer.

“Nomba poster Kwati it happened mu 2008.”

An X troll begged Hilson to not emulate fellow American songstress Brandy, in apparent reference to when she was slated to grace Stanbic Music Festival a few years back only for the plans to change.

“@KeriHilson, don’t pull a @4EverBrandy stunt,” wrote the doubting Thomas.

There were, however, some positive messages.

One wrote: “All the best .I recall you show in Kenya and it was a top level performance.”

Another positive comment read: ‘I was supposed to be back there in Zambia this year and it would have been amazing to meet one of my favourite singers of all time in that beautiful country I was born in but instead I am stuck in Michigan: love you Keri.”
