Crystal Palace remain the Premier League’s only unbeaten side after six games, stunning champions Liverpool with a dramatic 2-1 victory at Selhurst Park.
Substitute Eddie Nketiah was the hero, scoring with virtually the last kick of the game to secure Palace’s first home win over Liverpool since 2014.
In a match reported by The Independent, Palace started brightly and struck early through Ismaïla Sarr, who finished smartly just minutes into the contest.
Despite enjoying 72 percent of possession, Liverpool struggled to create clear chances, though Federico Chiesa eventually levelled late in normal time to set up a tense finale.

Palace, however, were not to be denied. Marc Guéhi’s deft flick in stoppage time found Nketiah, who calmly slotted a low shot past the keeper to spark wild celebrations.
The expected goals (xG) tally reflected the hosts’ edge, reading 2.45 to Liverpool’s 2.17.
The win sends Palace up to second in the table, reinforcing their blistering start to the season and leaving Liverpool to reflect on missed opportunities.
