Then, Mohamed Salah scored the winning goal, his 16th of the season.

This victory was significant as it marked Jurgen Klopp’s first win over Roberto De Zerbi.

It was the seventh time in the 2023/2024 season that Liverpool came from behind to win, which is their highest number of comeback victories in a single season in the competition.

Meanwhile, in a match at Etihad Stadium, league champions Manchester City played against Arsenal to a 0-0 draw.

As a result, Arsenal remained two points behind the league leaders, while Manchester City stayed in third place with 64 points.

Arsenal’s captain, Martin Odegaard, praised William Saliba, who was named man of the match, expressing satisfaction with his performance.

“We want all the three points, we tried the best to get the win but in the end we couldn’t do enough and we take the point. Any team in the world would miss Saliba, we’re lucky to have him, glad he’s fit, brilliant performance and a brilliant player,” Odegaard said.
