Police chief, Musamba, calls for enhanced collaboration with other security agencies

Inspector General of Police, Graphel Musamba, has called for enhanced partnership and collaboration between the Zambia Police Service and the Zambia National Service (ZNS).

The Police Chief said the Institutions should work together for the benefit of the general citizenry.

He said this when he paid a courtesy call on the ZNS Commander Lieutenant General, Maliti Solochi, on Tuesday in Lusaka.

 

”We need to combine our efforts and work together to serve our citizens with due diligence and commitment to duty,” Musamba said.

He was accompanied by his Deputy in charge of Administration, Alita Mbahwe, and other senior officers.

Musamba was appointed Inspector General of Police on April 14, 2023 taking over from the former Police Chief, Lemmy Kajoba, who was relieved of his duties.

In his remarks, the ZNS Commander congratulated the Inspector General on his appointment and indicated that ZNS was ready to collaborate with the Zambia Police Service on matters of national security.
