Police in Kanyama Compound arrest man for allegedly killing his wife

Police in Kanyama Compound have arrested a 42-year-old male accused of murdering his spouse.

Deputy Police Public Relations Officer, Danny Mwale, said the suspect identified as Simon Kapila Mwale, pushed his wife, Reginal Kayombo, 41, against a display cabinet where she went unconscious.

In a statement issued in Lusaka on Friday, Mwale said this was as a result of a marital dispute between the two.

“The body of the victim was buried on March 11, 2024 after postmortem while the suspect is in Police custody waiting for court appearance,” he said.
