Sampa assumes authority over Copperbelt Province PF structure, suspends chairperson Mwale

The Miles Sampa-led Patriotic Front (PF) has given the Edgar Lungu-led Copperbelt Province Chairperson, Stardy Mwale, a seven-day ultimatum to show cause why disciplinary action should not be take against him.

Faction Secretary-General, Morgan Ng’ona, in his letter dated December, 27, 2023, refered to a secular dated December, 26, 2023 to the lower ranks of the party by Mwale.

In the letter, Ng’ona accused Mwale of making disparaging remarks against the Miles Sampa-led party leadership.

“This is a serious offence and it is regrettable for a senior member of the party, to wilfully mislead the lower organs of the Party,” he stated.

Ng’ona said the action was in line with the party code of conduct enshrined in article 29 of the Constitution.

“You are hereby given seven days in which to exculpate yourself and show cause why disciplinary action should not be taken against you,” he stated.
