BongoHive has announced the launch of GreenTech4CE Digital Economy Incubator and Accelerator, a 12-month programme co-funded by the European Union.
According to BongoHive Lead, Marketing and Communications, Tilyenji Mundungani, the programme is designed to support early-stage digital enterprises contributing to Zambia’s green and circular economy.
In a statement issued in Lusaka on Tuesday, Mundungani said the programme would support 40 digital startups to further validate, build, and grow their digital solutions, from minimum viable product (MVP) to market expansion.
She said high-performing startups would progress to an acceleration stage, with funding opportunities ranging from €2,500 to €25,000 available to support product development, market testing, and scaling activities.

“The GreenTech4CE Digital Economy Incubator and Accelerator will focus on digital enterprises operating in Copperbelt and Lusaka Provinces, ensuring inclusive participation across key regions of Zambia,” Mundungani said.
She stated that the programme addresses existing challenges within Zambia’s digital entrepreneurship ecosystem, where many early-stage ventures faced constraints related to technical capacity, market validation, and access to business networks and finance.
Mundungani said by strengthening digital enterprises aligned with green and circular economy principles, the initiative aimed to contribute to sustainable economic growth and enterprise development.
“The GreenTech4CE Digital Economy Incubator and Accelerator builds on BongoHive’s experience in delivering entrepreneurship and innovation support programmes and reflects a shared commitment with the European Union to promoting inclusive, sustainable, and impact-oriented digital enterprises in Zambia,” she said.
