KCM has a storied history of supporting sports in Zambia. From internal sports days across their operational sites to the sponsorship of football teams such as the Konkola Blades, Nampundwe Stars, and the Nchanga Rangers, the company continues to support the growth of sports in Zambia.

KCM recently provided an upgraded team bus to the Aguila Stars FC and increased its monthly grant from K270,000 to K2.3 million.

This milestone increase is part of KCM’s Corporate Social Responsibility program and will go towards supporting the operations of the team, including the provision of salaries to staff members. KCM’s support has enhanced the team’s performance, stability, and long-term ambitions.

Significantly, this increase will go a long way towards supporting grassroots football – providing a platform for rising stars and allowing them to sustain their livelihoods.

Beyond recreation, sports have the capacity to transform lives and uplift communities. KCM, through its support of local teams, demonstrates its belief in sports as continues a vehicle for youth empowerment, economic development and social transformation.
