Zambian, Samukonga, named fastest 400m athlete in the world

The Botswana Golden Grand Prix saw Zambian runner Muzala Samukonga named the fastest 400 meter (M) athlete in the world.

Samukonga, who is also the 2022 Commonwealth games Champion, completed his race in a remarkable record time of about 43.91 seconds.

This was confirmed as World Athletics (WA) took to Facebook to confirm Muzala’s new record.

“The 2022 Commonwealth Games champion now is the fastest 400m athlete in the world. Here is a Wednesday Wallpaper to celebrate the 43.91 world lead from Zambia’s Muzala Samukonga at the Botswana Golden Grand Prix,” WA posted.

The new record has been seen as a step in the right direction, not only for the champion, but for the development the Zambian track and field respectively.
