ZICTA tells consumers to report service quality breaches arising from load shedding

The Zambia Information and Communications Technology Authority (ZICTA) has encouraged consumers to report any deterioration in service quality which has become a source on concern during the amid load shedding.

ZICTA Manager Corporate Communications, Hanford Chaaba, in a statement issued on Friday encouraged consumers to report any challenges experienced by calling the toll-free line at 7070.

According to Chaaba, ZICTA acknowledged the challenges faced by consumers due to load shedding.

“We assure the public that while service disruptions will occur, ZICTA is actively engaging with service providers to mitigate these effects.

“We encourage consumers to report any deterioration in service quality by calling our toll-free line at 7070,” Chaaba said.

He stated that ZICTA was committed to ensuring that telecommunications services remained as reliable as possible during this period.

“As part of our commitment to improve quality of service for voice and internet with a view to enhance consumers’ quality of experience, we will continue to monitor quality of service across the country,” Chaaba concluded.
