The Confederation of African Football has announced that the 2026 edition of the CAF African Schools Football Championship Continental Finals will be held in Harare from April 2–10, 2026.

Now in its fourth year, the CAF African Schools Football Championship was launched in 2021 by CAF President Patrice Motsepe in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, with the inaugural event later staged in Maputo.

The 2026 finals mark a significant moment for Zimbabwe, which has not hosted a CAF event in over six years.

Since its inception, the competition has grown rapidly, with more than three million boys and girls participating across the continent, making it the largest schools football competition globally. A total of 82,477 schools from 48 African countries have taken part in the programme.

The tournament continues to combine football with education, social development and capacity building, positioning itself as CAF’s flagship schools football initiative.
