9 Seventh Day Adventist members survive collapsed church fence in Mbala

Nine members of the the Seventh Day Adventist Church (SDA) in Mbala are nursing injuries after a wall fence collapsed on them.

This was after a heavy downpour.

Police said on Saturday around 14:30hours, Mbala Central SDA Choir members were having a meeting near the church premises when the wall fence collapsed on them after a heavy downpour.

Northern Province Police Chief, Lucky  Munkhondya, said in a statement on Saturday that whilst having the meeting heavy rains started which later made the church wall fence fall to collapse.

The victims were later rushed to Mbala General Hospital by other church members.
