GAZA – An Israeli air strike has reportedly hit al-Ahli hospital in Gaza City where thousands of civilians are seeking medical treatment and shelter from relentless attacks.
Al Jazeera quoted Gaza Ministry of Health officials as saying that at least 500 casualties had been reported in the hospital blast.
It also reported that the United Nations (UN) run school housing refugees was also struck.
Iran’s Foriegn Minister stated that the pro-Iranian groups in the region could act preemptively against Israel, even in the “coming hours”.
Some 3,000 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza since Hamas’s October 7 attack inside Israel, which had killed more than 1,400.
The Israeli attack on the al-Ahli Hospital in Gaza City was said to be the deadliest Israeli air strike in five wars fought since 2008, Palestinian Civil Defence said.
“The massacre at al-Ahli Arab Hospital is unprecedented in our history. While we’ve witnessed tragedies in past wars and days, but what took place tonight is tantamount to a genocide,” spokesman, Mahmoud Basal said.
