Lusaka man arrested for operating health facility without licence

Police in Lusaka have arrested and charged a 34-year-old man of Meanwood Chamba Valley, identified as Musense Apuleni, for operating a Health facility without a licence.

Deputy Police Public Relations Officer, Danny Mwale, said this was after Police received a tip-off from concerned members of the public.

Mwale said this in a statement issued in Lusaka on Friday.

He said the concerned members of the public had informed that there was an unknown person who was advertising various health services on social media platforms.

“They said these are abortion, circumcision, DNA test, infertility problems and treatment of sexual transmitted infections including HIV where advertised,” Mwale stated.

He said Police launched investigations and managed to arrest the suspect on March 14, 2024 around 10:00 hours in Olympia park area.

“The suspect is in custody waiting for court appearance,” Mwale stated.
