Zambian international midfielder, Kampamba, joins ZESCO United Football Club

ZESCO United Football Club has announced the acquisition of four new players to bolster the squad for the upcoming 2025/26 MTN Super League and TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup.

The club has welcomed Kelvin Mubanga Kampamba, a 28-year-old Zambian international midfielder who rejoins ZESCO United from Al-Madina SC of Libya, bringing his wealth of experience to the team on a 2-year contract.

This is according to a statement issued by Verita Muyunda, the ZUFC Media and Public Relations Officer in Lusaka on Wednesday

Kabaso Chongo, a 32-year-old Zambian defender, joins ZESCO United from Kabwe Warriors, adding defensive solidity to the squad on a 2-year deal.

Alaekwe Chijioke, a 27-year-old Nigerian international striker, brings his goal-scoring prowess to ZESCO United, having previously played for Akwa United in the Nigerian top flight, signing a 2-year contract.

Ifoni Pepo, a 25-year-old Nigerian winger, joins ZESCO United from Oman’s top-flight side Sur SC, bringing his speed and agility to the team on a 2-year deal.

“These new additions are expected to make an immediate impact, strengthening the squad and enhancing the team’s performance in the upcoming season,” Muyunda said.
